Hi, I'm Axel. For the last ten years I've worked at Dohop, where we let people book one trip across airlines that don't normally sell tickets together. I started there writing frontend code, moved to Python on the backend, and now I'm a delivery manager who still writes code.
Before that I lived in Denmark for three years, studying and working in Copenhagen. My master's thesis was about keeping microservices running when parts of them break. That's still the work I like best.
I also care about websites that work for everyone, and about teams where people like coming to work. If any of that sounds interesting, send me an email.

- Visteyri, a secondhand clothing marketplace where people sell to each other. I'm tech lead and PM.
- 2023–now
- skelin.io (formerly localhost). I'm one of the founders. We're trying to bring back the meetups Iceland had during the JS boom.

- Helped organise JSConf Iceland 2016 and 2018.
- Now and then
- Small WordPress sites, like breid.is and riff.is. I also built an interactive map of Akranes, which has since been shut down.
